Volunteer Opportunities

Sending Volunteers Abroad

How would you feel about spending a few months in another country, offering your time as a volunteer? Meeting new people and cultures while contributing to the local community?

If you’re between 18 and 30 years old, the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) offers you this unique opportunity!

For a duration of 1 to 12 months, you can volunteer in projects related to social work, the environment, culture, or sports in one of the 37 participating countries.

Through this experience, you’ll develop your skills and competences in a spirit of solidarity and contribution, while getting to know a new culture and learning its language!

The program covers travel, accommodation, and food costs, and provides language courses, health insurance, and medical care.

Each volunteer also receives a monthly allowance (pocket money) for personal expenses.

Hosting Volunteers

Since 2017, You in Europe has been a hosting organization for ESC volunteers in the beautiful town of Nea Moudania.

Volunteers support local initiatives, NGOs, and volunteer groups.

Since 2018, You in Europe also operates as a coordinating organization, partnering with the Association of Friends of People with Disabilities in Thessaloniki, where ESC volunteers dedicate their time working with people with special needs.

Check out the “Survival Guide” created by our volunteers Monia from Italy and Ainhoa from Spain, sharing their experiences in Thessaloniki and Nea Moudania!

Hosting Volunteer Teams

We also regularly host short-term volunteer teams, like in the project “Well Done, Well Being”, part of the Volunteering Teams in High Priorities program.

Over three months and three different flows, we welcomed 60 volunteers in Halkidiki!
