PROJECT N.1

GIGA – Long-term in Associazione InformaGiovani (Eurodesk Centre), in Palermo – 10 months projects.

The Associazione “InformaGiovani” runs activities of information, training, seminars promoting social volunteering, international cooperation, and EU programmes. As Eurodesk Center in the city of Palermo it is also involved in promoting EU Programmes, youth mobility projects, volunteerism, training and activities involving young people and youth workers. 

Volunteers will support members of the NGO in supporting the implementation of international projects, co-lead multicultural groups in volunteering projects, and be active in the Eurodesk Network related activities like: info-desk, infoday, help-desk, promotional events, provide information, promoting information for social media and newsletter. More and diverse activities can be demanded. This project is a great opportunity for young people interested in discovering NGO-ordinary life, promoting EU opportunities to young people, and in youth work and non formal education. 

The project will host two volunteers for 10 months, 1 from Greece and 1 from Portugal: a portuguese young people with fewer opportunities (social, economic, educational, cultural difficulties, neet, etc.)

PROJECT N. 2

GIGA – Long-term in I Girasoli Onlus, in Mazzarino, Sicily, Italy – 6 months projects. (vacancy for fewer opportunity profile)

The I Girasoli Onlus is a non-governmental organization which supports refugees and migrants in reception and education projects in the little village of Mazzarino promoting respect, autonomy and social and human rights. 

Volunteers will support educators, volunteers and young migrants in

• after-school activities (home-work, recreational activities) and planning activities for young people in the center (unaccompanied minors)

• Implementing creative activities and events (theater performance, juggling, other) on the themes of multiculturalism and inclusion

• Supporting the regular initiatives of the Center and its promotion

The project will host two volunteers for 6 months 1 from Poland, 1 from Greece: a greek young people with fewer opportunities (social, economic, educational, cultural difficulties, neet, etc.).
