THE IDEA
The growing phenomena of violence against women, further increased due to complex cohabitations during the various coronavirus lockdowns, push us to explore methodologies and tools that empower us to deliver more diverse, inclusive and active participation in NFE activities, taking into account the gender aspect and its implications. For this reason, we believe that intervention in the field through youth work is the most effective instrument and that the strengthening of youth workers is required.
Activities include:
1. mapping the situation and positive examples
2. the implementation of educational activities
3. the creation of educational material – a tool kit – based on the conclusions drawn from the mapping and the educational activities
4. the evaluation of the results and their dissemination
5. planning future activities
THE TOOLKIT
One of the aims of the project, is the creation of a tool kit that:
– address gender discrimination and prevent gender-based violence. Also, we aim at
– opens the dialogue between young people about gender based violence and harassment, and clarify situations where a behavior violates a person’s dignity,privacy,well-being,or personal boundaries, and consists of harassment and also how to respond to these behaviors either as a victim or as a witness
– raises awareness among young people who will then act as multipliers of the message
– improves youth work
